The MOWA Contemporary 2026 Art Exhibition and Fundraising Auction

A biennial exhibition showcasing the work of Wisconsin’s exceptional artists, the MOWA Contemporary features a curated selection of unique experiences and more than 30 artworks by both established and emerging talents, Tony Macias being one of them. Fifty percent of each sale is shared with the contributing artist, reflecting MOWA’s commitment to fostering the state’s vibrant arts community.
The exhibition concludes with MOWA’s fundraiser, where art patrons have the opportunity to purchase artworks and support both the museum and Wisconsin artists. The fundraiser dinner and live auction, a ticketed event, takes place on Saturday, August 22.

In the 6 week handbuilding classes, we will get acquainted with the properties of clay, explore its potential, and create a dialogue with the material as we collaborate in creating several pieces using various methods. Think of these classes as a simple play date in mud.

6 WEEK INDEPENDENT CLAY STUDIO EXPERIENCE
Develop your own clay project while working independently in a supportive studio environment, with technical and aesthetic guidance from ceramic artist and instructor Tony Macias.
This Open Studio experience is designed for students who already have a basic understanding of clay and are comfortable with either handbuilding or throwing on the wheel. Participants should be able to work primarily on their own while using Tony as a resource for consultation, problem-solving, and artistic feedback.

The annual Feed Your Soul event—held at House of RAD —has become one of Milwaukee’s most anticipated arts-centered philanthropic gatherings. Founded in 2003 and now having raised nearly $1.5 million, FYS is a Milwaukee-born creative movement that harnesses the talent of artists and makers to drive social impact. Last year’s event, the first to benefit Community Advocates, was powered by generous sponsors and brought together more than 500 attendees to experience the work of over 80 local artists, live art-making, music, immersive installations, and a high-energy auction.
