Description:
6 WEEK TRIAL
Develop your own clay project while working independently in a supportive studio environment, with technical and aesthetic guidance from ceramic artist and instructor Tony Macias.
This Open Studio experience is designed for students who already have a basic understanding of clay and are comfortable with either handbuilding or throwing on the wheel. Participants should be able to work primarily on their own while using Tony as a resource for consultation, problem-solving, and artistic feedback.
Before your first session, we’ll meet for an individual project consultation to discuss:
Your previous clay experience and skill level
Your project ideas and goals
Clay body and glaze selection
Estimated quantity and size of work
Bisque and glaze firing requirements
What’s Included
Technical and aesthetic consultation with ceramic artist and instructor Tony Macias
25 pounds of your choice of:Paoli Smooth Raku
Laguna BMix 5
Personal shelf space measuring approximately 2’ deep × 4’ wide × 18” high
Use of studio tools and equipment
One half kiln shelf for first bisque and glaze firings
Please note: Work for both firings must fit within the allotted half kiln shelf and remain under 14 inches in height.
